Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training teaches you to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health or substance use challenges, just as CPR helps with physical emergencies. It provides a step by step action plan to offer initial, non-judgmental support, reduce stigma, and guide individuals to professional care. It is vital for improving mental health literacy, increasing confidence to help in crises (like suicide risk or panic attacks), and supporting colleagues or loved ones.
This training is critical for anyone working in substance and mental health fields and is highly recommended for Certified Recovery Peer Specialists, Recovery Coaches and Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
This 8 hour training is evidence-based, ensuring that participants can effectively make a difference in their communities. Your certification is good for three years.
Our next Virtual training is scheduled for April 15, 2026 from 9:00AM - 3:30 on Zoom. There are 2 hours required pre and post work
